Short description
This standard compares drive technologies for linear movements with one degree of freedom. Electric synchronous servomotors and pneumatic cylinders are considered. Possible solutions differ in their flexibility with regard to changes in the movement task, the investment and operating costs as well as in their respective energy intake. A standardised motion profile is defined for determining the energy intake, which can be adapted by the user to the given movement task by parameterisation.
