Overview

This standard deals with the safety of microwave ovens which are intended for household use, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V. Through Amendment A11, requirements for persons requiring protection are added. The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 511.2 "Herde und Mikrowellengeräte" ("Cooking ranges and microwave ovens") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
